The Manufacturing Engineer will evaluate the entire manufacturing system in a continuous effort to improve by analyzing current processes, systems, and product designs for elimination of waste and to recommend potential areas for improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Improve labor utilization by auditing the current standard against the planned standard and recommend areas for potential improvement; then update the standard to reflect this improvement.
• Prepare work standards and operator guidelines by writing or updating policies, procedures, and work methods.
• Gather information and make improvements throughout the manufacturing system by spending time on the plant floor documenting current conditions and analyzing the system for improvements.
• Assist or project-manage the implementation of new equipment on the production floor by gathering technical information, specifications, and capital justification.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
• Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or related degree
• Personal computer skills such as CAD, spreadsheet software, access or other database software
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations and work tasking
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in a Pull Production System and robotics, preferred
