Assistant Manager of Social Media & Community Management

We are seeking a talented and strategic Assistant Manager of Social Media & Community Management to join the Digital Operations team. This person will be responsible for driving the overall social media & content strategy content across all organic social media channels. This includes overseeing a weekly content calendar, social support plans for launches/activations, identifying social trends, reporting on insights & owning community management. This role will work cross-functionally with the lash brand marketing teams and report directly to the manager of Social Media Strategy & Implementation. Our ideal candidate is someone who is beauty-obsessed with a team player attitude, is a multi-tasker that will reach deadlines in a fast-paced environment and has excellent communication & writing skills.

Job Description:

  • Build out short & long-term social media strategies for one of our lash brands.
  • Regularly identify social media trends & strategize opportunities for the brand to engage and grow across all platforms.
  • Oversee the development of the social calendar across all organic social channels - including support for new launches & promotions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functioning teams (Digital Marketing, Digital Merchandising, Sales & Creative) for ongoing social support for retailers
  • Partner closely with the content and creative team for content planning and creation of assets to support social holidays, new launches, etc.
  • Oversee community management across all social platforms (with flexibility on monitoring during big events).
  • Build the brand community through strategic and tactical actions- (insta takeovers, giveaways, building influencer relationships, ambassador programs, responding to product-related questions and concerns, customer-related inquiries including order status updates, etc.)
  • Stay up to date on emerging digital and social technology trends to ensure the brand is always on the cutting edge of all changes in the social space.
  • Reports on competitive brand activities and leading brands creating dynamic consumer engagement that are worthy of evaluation and monitoring.
  • Monitor and report regularly on product feedback, online reviews, brand sentiment, competitive, KPIs and other performance metrics or goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3+ years of progressive work experience as a social media manager, preferably in the beauty space
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms (specifically TikTok and Instagram) from both a paid & organic perspective
  • Deep and proven knowledge of all aspects of social media and relevant platforms and community management
  • Experience with social content calendar planning and production cycles, including writing creative briefs and preparing model and product mood boards
  • Experience with social media reporting & analyzing insights
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment & meet changing deadlines on multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal communication & writing skills
  • Works well under pressure & has a flexible & positive attitude
  • Attention to detail & ability to multitask
  • Ability to be flexible - social media happens in real-time!
