POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function of this role is to control and manage the flow of inventory being brought into and out of the warehouse. This position handles daily operations of the warehouse, including ensuring the highest level of safety for all employees, managing material handlers, and ensuring inventory control.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Promotes a safe work environment and ensures that employees wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas
• Control and manage inventory, including obsolescence process
• Supervise warehouse employees and oversee daily operations
• Order general maintenance of machinery used in the warehouse
• Works closely with Production Leader’s to ensure their needs are being met or exceeded and resolves issues promptly
• Recommend and implement process improvements
• Works closely with I.T. to deliver up-to-date system control
• Direct and coordinate the activities of the warehouse and establish and maintain budget control
• Development of the team and continuous improvement in the performance of all team members by setting clear and challenging goals and objectives
• Ensure that all stock issues are resolved and feedback to relevant managers on key performance indicators such as accuracy, performance, output and efficiency
• Set the environment of the company by demonstrating our values, standards, and practices
• Personnel responsibilities to include training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluation of all warehouse personnel, coordination of training activities, developing a team atmosphere, and monitoring all employees through performance appraisals, coaching, and discipline
• Manage the company’s obsolescence process
• Responsible for the security of the personnel and contents of the warehouse
• Communicate with manufacturing personnel to ensure appropriate materials are available to meet production requirements
• Developing and implementing policies, procedures and SOPs to ensure consistent quality and operating efficiency
• Responsible for ensuring all training is conducted and records of training are accurate an up to date, evaluates training needs, training effectiveness and the timely completion of all training
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work assignments; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing concerns and resolving problems.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years materials or warehouse management in a high-performance manufacturing facility required.
Computer Skills: Skilled with Warehouse Management Systems and ERP/MRP systems (AS400/PRMS a plus), MS Office suite including high proficiency with Excel.
Certificates & Licenses: APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or equivalent certifications a plus.
Other Requirements: Experience with Operational Excellence methodologies, including line balancing concepts, level loading and sequencing to achieve optimum efficiency with minimal cost impact. Must have experience as a self-directed, technical leader and problem solver with the ability to handle multiple daily priorities in a fast-paced environment to achieve results. Ability to lead and develop people utilizing excellent communication skills.
