Job Requirements of OBGYN Ultrasound Technologist:

We are seeking a skilled OBGYN Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic Antenatal Testing Unit.
Under the supervision of the Antenatal Testing Unit Manager, you will provide diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient care and comfort.
This is a full-time opportunity with a focus on high-risk obstetrical ultrasound.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound exams in a timely manner.
- Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and modesty.
- Follow established policies and uphold ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure.
- Collaborate with leadership to support departmental workflow and goals.
- Conduct appropriate studies and verify requisitions for accuracy and relevance.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, initiating service calls as necessary.
- Provide care to patients of all ages with professionalism and respect.
- Accurately document procedures, complete ancillary forms, and support departmental initiatives.
- Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues as needed.
- Flexibly accommodate patient and staffing needs, including on-call duties.
Requirements
Education:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college, or certificate in Ultrasound Technology.
Certification:
- RDMS certification required.
Registry-eligible candidates may be hired but must achieve RDMS certification within one year of employment.
Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in high-risk obstetrical ultrasound preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and procedures, including Level 2 Fetal Anatomy ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, and growth assessments.
- Ability to assist attending physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
