Job Requirements of Registered Radiology Assistant:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Radiology Assistant to join our Radiology Administration team.
This newly opened position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance patient care by extending the capacity of radiologists in a dynamic diagnostic imaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary radiology health care under the supervision and oversight of an attending radiologist.
- Perform routine and specialized fluoroscopy examinations and imaging procedures, including contrast media administration and operation of imaging equipment.
- Assist in non-endovascular imaging-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as biopsies, lumbar punctures, and myelography as needed.
- Obtain patient histories, conduct physical assessments, and secure consents as required.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and scribe preliminary reports for review.
- Develop and maintain departmental programs and protocols for CT and Fluoroscopy examinations.
- Participate in policy updates, quality improvement initiatives, and onboarding of new RRAs.
- Act as a liaison between referring services and radiologists, aiding in communication of findings to patients and providers.
- Maintain imaging equipment and manage imaging supplies and contrast materials.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Registered Radiologist Assistant/Health Sciences.

Licensure/Certification:
- Registered/licensed RRA/RPA and radiologic technologist in Massachusetts.
- BLS-CPR and ACLS certifications.
- Graduation from an ACR/ARRT-approved RA program.
- Active registration with ARRT and/or CBRPA.
- Experience: At least two years in diagnostic radiology, including scribing plain films, ultrasounds, fluoroscopy, and CT reports.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in evaluating images, advanced clinical judgment, and strong problem-solving skills.
