Job Title: SR. CORPORATE OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE ENGINEER

Overview:
The Senior Corporate Operational Excellence (OPEX) Engineer is responsible for leading, driving, and supporting corporate-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing team member safety, product quality, operational efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LEAN Six Sigma methodologies, with a preference for experience with Toyota Production Systems (TPS). The senior corporate OPEX engineer leads in the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of corporate processes including operations processes and administrative processes. This role requires a proven leader who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully plan and execute continuous improvement events and projects.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and implement corporate operational excellence strategies that drive safety, productivity, cost savings, and overall business performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify, assess, and prioritize process inefficiencies across various departments; design and implement solutions using Toyota Production Systems (TPS) and LEAN Six Sigma continuous improvement methodologies.
- Process Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of current processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to streamline operations. Understand basic concepts of process design to clearly define responsibilities, connections, inputs / outputs, and how to perform the process
- Leadership & Mentoring: Lead cross-functional teams on improvement projects, providing coaching and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members in continuous improvement principles.
- Training & Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops on TPS culture and LEAN Six Sigma process improvement tools and techniques to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to monitor progress, measure the impact of improvement initiatives, and drive decision-making. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation capital projects [Improving safety, quality, and delivery].
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to track and report on the effectiveness of operational excellence initiatives.
- Best Practices & Standardization: Establish and disseminate best practices across the organization, standardizing processes where possible and ensuring adherence to operational excellence principles.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new processes and our continuous improvement culture. Provide active support to develop and maintain the key process documentation to translate tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with department heads, managers, and senior executives to ensure alignment of operational excellence initiatives with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor???s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field [preferably mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering]. A Master???s degree is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a similar role, with significant experience using LEAN Six Sigma tools. Experience with Toyota Production Systems and understanding TPS culture is highly desirable.
- LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required. Additional certifications in TPS or other continuous improvement methodologies are a plus.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP a Plus) and Shop Floor Control systems (MES preferred)
- Proven leadership experience is required. Must have shown the ability to influence and drive change across functional groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving experience resulting in practical and sustainable solutions is required.
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering results on time and within budget.
