Job Requirements of Registered Admissions Nurse:
Qualifications
- Florida licensed R.N.; B.S.N. preferred.
- 1 year medical surgical or hospice experience preferred
- Preferred CHPN Certification.
- Must possess ability to assess physical and psychosocial needs of patient and family. Hospice experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual Preferred. Electronic medical record software experience a plus.
- Organized, flexible, self-motivated with ability to relate to all levels of the professional medical team.
- Ability to develop and apply effective customer service skills. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Registered Admissions Nurse
Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients
They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families, and other caregivers
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm
Hospice nurses are caring and kind individuals who possess a special hospice heart who can help our patients celebrate the rest of their life’s journey
Duties and Responsibilities
- Carries primary responsibility for evaluation of all patients referred for hospice services
- Is able to articulate all components of the organization's continuum of care and refer patients and families to those as necessary
- Assists referring physicians and/or his/her designated liaison with coordinating a plan of care/treatment for hospice appropriate patients and their families
- Serves as the liaison between our company and physicians, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other health care professionals
- Actively markets, through education, the hospice concept to all health care professionals and providers, as well as the community at large
