Job Requirements of Licensed Mental Health Therapist:
- Facilitate mental health-related groups
- Provide mental health diagnosis, clinical counseling and case management services to clients with mental and emotional disorders
- Demonstrate competency in performing mental health intake assessment
- Work in an outpatient mental health setting treating full scope of mental health patients
- Provide individual patient therapy and crisis intervention
- Provide group as well as individual therapy/treatment
- Providing services to an adult population with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Deliver direct mental health and substance abuse services to clients and may provide individual and group
- Perform mental status examinations, therapy, and preventive health measures
- Provide training to clinical staff regarding the identification and treatment of mental health/substance abuse issue
- Provide effective and efficient mental health interventions, including but not limited to, crisis intervention, case management, group therapy and/or individual therapy
- Maintain treatment plans throughout treatment
- Develop progressive and effective individual treatment plans
- Treating such diagnosed mental or substance abuse disorders
- Prepare individualized treatment plans and provide individual and group counseling
- Assist with quarterly staff trainings

Salary starting at $80K up to $90K depending on licensure and experience.
Maryland Education/ Licensure Requirements:
- Must possess a Master’s Degree and independent license to practice such as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LGADC, LGPC, LCADC, and/ or LCPC.
- To evaluate, treat, and diagnose clients who have a mental health disorder or dually-diagnosed
- Schedule or assist with the scheduling of clinical and/or support staff to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.
- Continue special training in areas designated by the Supervisor.
- Keep records such as bio-psycho-history & assessments, evaluations and keep client case records current according to the established guidelines.
- Attend, participate, and when necessary, facilitate special events, such as retreats, trips, workshops, etc.
- Be a role model for pro-social behaviors.
