R&D Technology Center Manager
Fully onsite in St. Paul MN
$110-135K base salary
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all functions of the Technology Center, including Research and Development (R&D), Advanced Laboratory Analyses, and Customer Outreach initiatives.
Lead R&D efforts at the forefront of bioprocess science to drive innovation in products and services.
Support the growth and advancement of the product portfolio by effectively communicating technical advantages and tangible benefits to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Mentor, develop, and collaborate with Technology Center staff to promote continuous improvement and professional growth.
Manage internal product resource platforms, ensuring data and documentation are organized, maintained, and easily accessible.
Collaborate cross-functionally and with external experts to solve complex challenges, integrating the latest advancements and best practices from laboratory to industrial-scale applications.
Represent the Technology Center at industry events and customer locations, delivering technical presentations and cultivating industry relationships.
Facilitate technical discussions during internal training sessions, customer engagements, and industry conferences, conveying complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced technical challenges in fermentation, enzymatic activity, and process optimization using state-of-the-art tools.
Utilize scientific software such as JMP for data modeling, analysis, and interpretation to extract actionable insights that drive innovation.
Contribute to managing the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely progress through the Stage Gate process and successful product launches.
Coordinate R&D activities and team meetings to enhance lab productivity and ensure effective project execution.
Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for R&D and laboratory analyses, ensuring precise adherence by all lab personnel.
Prepare and lead internal and customer-facing training programs, including lab-based discussions and technical workshops.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary information and sensitive work-related matters.
Ensure all R&D and lab activities are compliant with Health and Safety regulations and protocols.
