Nurse Educator
Nurse Educator- Med Surg Tele
Full Time Day Shift -8:30A.M-4P.M
Salary: $135,000-$145,000
Position Summary:
The Nurse Educator plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing by providing high-quality education and training to nursing students, practicing nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The Nurse Educator is responsible for developing and implementing educational programs, assessing learning needs, and fostering an environment that promotes excellence in nursing practice. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, teaching skills, and a passion for advancing nursing knowledge and practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development and Instruction:
- Design, develop, and implement nursing education curricula for various levels of learners.
- Deliver lectures, simulations, and clinical instruction in a variety of settings.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure up-to-date and relevant educational content.
- Mentor and support nursing students, providing guidance on academic and career development.
- Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback, and assist in the development of individualized learning plans.
- Conduct staff development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of practicing nurses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and healthcare providers to ensure alignment of educational programs with clinical practice standards.
- Participate in committees, task forces, and other collaborative initiatives to advance the nursing profession.
- Stay current with developments in nursing practice and education through continuous professional development.
- Maintain clinical competency in a specialty area to provide effective instruction and mentorship.
- Serve as a resource and role model for nursing students and practicing nurses.
